Scott Patterson

Scott Patterson passed away peacefully on May 24, 2023, after a very short battle with cancer. Scott was born on June 10, 1962, in Kent, Washington, to Patricia and Frank Patterson. At an early age, the family moved to Spokane where he graduated from Mead High School in 1980, and raised a family with his former wife and dear friend, Stacy. Scott was known as the class clown, bringing laughs to whomever he met. He took pride in his career as a mechanic, painting racing stripes on race cars, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He spent his life enjoying time with his family and friends. The Annual Patterson Family and Friends Reunion and socializing with his close friends at the Chinese Gardens were all highlights for him. He is survived by his mother, Patricia MalzacherAman; his long-time girlfriend, Elfie Stathopoulos; his children, Anthony Patterson and Melissa Varavin; his grandchildren, Bug Worley and Michael Varavin; his siblings, Steve Patterson and Kathy Bruce; as well as his many cousins in the Patterson clan. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Patterson. We are asking family and friends to come raise a Bud Light to Scotty at his Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 12-3 pm at The Chinese Gardens 5207 E. Trent Ave., Spokane, WA 99212. If his family and friends desire, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Scotty's memorial fund at gofundme.com.
