What are some of your favorite memories from high school?

I was an exchange student from Australia's most southern state, Tasmania (if you look at map it is the little island off the mainland,). I didn't know where Spokane was when I learned I was coming here, so it was all very new. I came in Jan '79 left January 80. I love the people/students of Mead High School. I was overwhelmed by the friendliness and quality of people. I thoroughly enjoyed drama (was in few plays - the Lion in Wizard of Oz), tried learning American football, learned how to ski, learned about Pacific North-West history. So many things. Discovered donuts and still crave them today. The school canteen, Mead was the first school I went to that had such a concept and being able to eat in a big area with other students.

Which high school teacher impacted you the most?

Ms Warren drama teacher; another drama teacher and can't remember her name but she tried to make my Australian accent easier for Americans to understand), a blond-haired football coach (Stookey?). A geography teacher, big bloke who also coached baseball. Chemistry teacher. The principal. Oh, heck all the teachers I thought were excellent.

Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?

Yes, in a way except via long distance Anglea Gratto (Higgs), and Tina Beck, and Kathey Nell via her parents and brother (actually had Christmas eve dinner at her place about four years ago).

Any words of wisdom?
